Youth

Our youth and young adults venture on regular trips and camps to help them build relationships, have fun, and most importantly, strengthen their walk with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Women

Come & join in fun, fellowship & ministry! The purpose of the First United Methodist Church Women’s Ministry group is to be disciples of Jesus by developing a creative, supportive fellowship as we address spiritual and social issues that emphasize children and women.

All women are invited to join us on the first Saturday of the month at 9:15-10:45 am in Fellowship Hall. Our programs are varied and may include a business meeting, spiritual growth studies, and ministry projects as we offer a time of food and fellowship.

Throughout the year we “connect” with our church by providing small gifts to those becoming members, being baptized, joining through confirmation, graduating from high school and college. We donate to special needs of our church and community as they arise. We support a card and caring ministry to those facing illness, death, or other needs. Come and join in with ‘women of faith’ working together for the glory of God! For more information contact Tanya Buchanan or call the church office (860) 684-2468 and leave a message for her.

Men

The FUMC Men’s group meets on the second Saturday of the month at 7:30a.m. for a wonderful fellowship breakfast. From time to time we will have a special speaker. We invite all men to join us. For more information see Dave Buchanan or contact the church office (860) 684-2468 and leave a message for him.

The FUMC Group

The primary focus of this group is to gather together in Christian fellowship through fun events and activities!  So far this year we have had a potluck dinner – movie night, a trip to Village Haven, RI, where all enjoyed a wonderful meal, and a trip to Crossroads Cathedral in Manchester to see the Passion Play.

Look for future events and join in the fun.  All are welcome!

Women to Women

Our mission is to educate, encourage, and equip women for the most important, yet toughest job in the world — parenting. Through practical, biblically based teaching on parenting and through supportive interaction in small groups led by experienced mothers, we wish to foster growth, not only in our parenting skills, but in our wholeness as women.

We are women from different backgrounds seeking a Christian response by which we can guide our children in today’s world. Though at various stages of parenting, we share a common desire to grow as women and mothers.Childcare is provided free overseen by certified Safe Sanctuary trained personnel.

Thursday mornings at 9:00a.m. – 10:30a.m.

Open to women of all ages (single, married, divorced) and children.
